About Nauteas
Nauteas is a London-based tea experience company that designs and delivers Tea Sommelier-led tea blending events for corporate clients, hotels and private hosts. Founded by Katia Sokolskaya, a UK Tea Academy certified Tea Sommelier and multiple Great Taste Award winner, Nauteas turns tea into a hosted, hands-on experience rather than a served refreshment.
Nauteas was founded by Katia Sokolskaya, a certified Tea Sommelier through the UK Tea Academy and the recipient of multiple Great Taste Awards. She leads flagship events personally and has delivered tea experiences at venues including the OXO Tower with Principal London and Hilton Park Lane.
A standard afternoon tea is served. A Nauteas experience is made. Guests work with a certified Tea Sommelier to taste, understand and blend their own tea from a curated selection of base teas and botanicals, leaving with a personal blend rather than a memory of someone else's.
Formats
A tea blending bar is a drop-in, stand-up format suited to receptions, conferences and large gatherings of 100 or more guests. A Nauteas host guides each guest through building their own blend at a styled bar station, typically taking ten minutes per guest, so guests can arrive and leave the bar throughout an event.
A tea blending workshop is a seated, structured 60 to 90 minute session for up to 20 guests, combining a guided tasting and the history of British tea blending, brought to life through authentic British tea antiques from the Nauteas collection, with a hands-on blend-building session led throughout by a certified Tea Sommelier. It suits smaller corporate groups, team offsites and private clients.
Nauteas events range from an intimate workshop for up to 20 guests to a large-format blending bar for 100 or more guests, with the format tailored to group size and occasion.
Corporate events
Yes. Nauteas is built specifically for the corporate and MICE market, including client entertaining, conferences, team offsites, product launches and Christmas parties, and has delivered experiences in partnership with DMCs and five-star hotels across London.
A tea blending experience suits client hospitality, staff wellbeing and team building days, conference breakout sessions, product launches and end-of-year parties. Because the format is hands-on rather than passive, it works particularly well where a host wants guests talking and engaged rather than seated and served.
Yes. Nauteas partners with London-based destination management companies and event agencies as a preferred supplier for tea experiences, with a standard proposal turnaround and agency commission terms available on request.
Yes. Nauteas events are fully mobile and have been delivered at venues including the OXO Tower and Hilton Park Lane, as well as private members' clubs, offices and residential venues across London.
Pricing
Nauteas pricing is tailored to format, group size and occasion. Prices are available upon request — email hello@nauteas.com for a bespoke quote.
Every Nauteas quote includes a certified Tea Sommelier host, all tea and botanical ingredients, blending equipment, a personalised take-home caddy for each guest and event-day coordination. Additional hosts, bespoke branding and gifting add-ons are available.
Sourcing and craft
Nauteas blends are composed from top-quality loose leaf teas and botanicals, selected and blended in England under the direction of a certified Tea Sommelier. Nauteas follows Britain's own tea tradition, in which the country's expertise has always been in blending rather than growing, and applies that same craft to every event.
A Tea Sommelier is a specialist trained and certified — in Katia Sokolskaya's case through the UK Tea Academy — in the tasting, sourcing and blending of tea, in the same way a wine sommelier is trained in wine. A Tea Sommelier-led experience means every blend served is guided by genuine expertise rather than a set script.
Yes. Tea blending is naturally caffeine-flexible and allergen-light, and Nauteas can accommodate caffeine-free botanical blends alongside traditional teas for guests with dietary requirements.
Booking and logistics
Nauteas recommends booking six to twelve weeks ahead for standard events, and as early as possible for the September to December peak season, when premium dates are limited.
Nauteas is based in London and delivers the majority of its events across Central and Greater London, with travel further afield available on request for larger corporate bookings.
Enquiries can be made directly through nauteas.com, where a short scoping conversation establishes group size, format and date before a tailored proposal is issued, typically within 48 hours.
